Medvedev: Russia needs to develop its economic sectors

During his opening speech at the session about the planned expenditure in the Federal budget for 2018 and 2019-2020 Dmitry Medvedev pointed out, that one of the priorities is to support the growing industry and other sectors of the economy.

Prime minister emphasized, that public spending in the civil industry should be discussed first, especially such areas as transport, energy, science and natural resources, as well as financing of the agriculture.

“While discussing the budget expenditure, we have to adapt the needs of the sectors to the real possibilities of the budget.

It is also our task, to support the growth of the priority branches, which already show obvious signs of growth”, - Dmitry Medvedev said.

Prime minister also highlighted the role of the transport; as usual the largest share of the budget will be allocated to this sector. “Good roads are quite expensive, but its use for people and for business should not be underestimated; trading grows near the roads, enterprises also profit from good transport systems and business flourishes”, - the Prime Minister said.

Medvedev also emphasized the importance of the civil production; there already exists a special governmental program to support it. The goal is to promote Russian products on the foreign markets. According to Medvedev, positive results can already be clearly seen, in the transport sector as well as in the production area. Production levels and cargo turnover have massively increased, in year-on-year comparison.

The IT-sphere also gets a lot of attention from the officials. Prime minister wants to continue to implement modern technologies into our everyday lives.
